Revisting a Woman in a Class All Her Own

A few years ago I celebrated the many accomplishments an extraordinary woman named Lydia J. Cadwell. Not only did she have at least one famous client who sought her out as a photographer, she also achieved success in other areas, including being a patent-holding inventor. Anyway Chris recently noticed the there was a wonderful cabinet card by Lydia J. Cadwell for sale on eBay — so we snapped it up! Note the intricate lace head covering as well the beautiful lace shawl wrapped around the unidentified woman’s shoulders:

Moreover, the back of the cabinet card not only has Mrs. Cadwell’s studio address, it also show what looks to be a printed reproduction of her signature:
